Our Engagement
On a quiet Sunday in March 2011, Ben and Tara went hiking with Samson at their favorite spot in Valley Forge National Park.
Ben told Tara later that he didn't have a sure plan, but knew he'd propose somewhere during the hike.
At a spot by the creek where Samson takes a dip to cool off, Ben bent down to "tie his shoe." He looked up at Tara with a GIANT grin and said simply, "Will you marry me?"
After she finished shrieking and crying and blubbering "Of course I will," Ben presented Tara with a beautiful ring, which includes the same diamond Tara's Dad gave her Mom almost 41 years ago to the day.
